Visual Meditations, Naza del Rosal Ortiz

Bachelor of Fine Arts and Diploma in Graphic Design. My professional career began with illustration, graphic design and painting and in 2010 I formed the artistic duo Olliemoonsta, along with Juan Rico, with whom, in addition to illustration and painting, I was involved in numerous mural projects. In 2012, we were selected in the first art residency in Poland and this was followed by those from Portugal, Holland, Greece and Latvia. Since then and until today we have carried out projects in Europe, Canada and Latin America for many art festivals and galleries. In 2015, we held an individual exhibition at the Michael Wright Gallery in Port Coquitlam and a group exhibition at the Fazakas Gallery in Vancouver, Canada.

In 2018, I published my first illustrated children’s book Las aventuras de Abel, la locomotora and illustrated the children’s album El Zampasueños. In 2019, I also began to produce work individually, developing the Introspection series of paintings named  “visual meditations”, a universe that is history, journey, ritual and symbolism of itself and that unfolds on canvas as medieval illustrators filled their miniature illustrations distressed by the horror vacui. All this work ended up leading to a travelling exhibition in Madrid which I called “Mental Mist”. In 2020, I was part of the group exhibition organized by the Madrid Design Festival and the Madrid Illustrators Association (APIM).
