Seeing the world with my MUSE through the strokes and splashes of colours and engravings of calligraphy, we last time met our new buddy named  MONTAGE – the digital power. 

The chit chat of HORSEPOWER & DIGITAL POWER was so ENGAGING that we time TIME TRAVELED in future and back in times at the same time.

Happy to have a new buddy, my MUSE gifted me a new power – THE CHARCOAL and prompted me to saddle up and engrave what was and what will be.

On the paper we cantered and in CHARCOAL I scripted; the tales of the real EMPERORS of empires, the histories the Knight’s HORSES, the gallantry of warrior HORSES and the prudence of horsemen’s HORSES.

Each role a treasure trove of virtues that humans need to imbibe from the HORSES. Each tale a story for the generations to adopt and adapt.

A SENSITIVE horse is POWERFUL too, a BRAVE horse is WISE too, a FLYING horse is PATIENT too. 

POWER, PRUDENCE & PERFECTION – Beautifully balanced by THE HORSE.

And this is the HERITAGE THAT A HORSE -THE EMPEROR BEQUEATHS.

Times know that if ever a man could fly without wings it was on the HORSE’S BACK. Times know that if my CREATIVITY during COVID galloped beyond ages it was on the saddle of MY MUSE.

TIMELESS is my MUSE, TIMELESS the TALES.

HISTORIES belong to HORSES, MODERNITY to MUSTANGS.

Timeless is the HORSE POWER which propels the world NOW, which accelerated it THEN.

“Every child is an artist.  The problem is how to remain ARTIST once you grow up”, said the legendary Pablo Picasso.

I am truly blessed that because of my muse by my side since childhood,                                I have been, I am and I remain – AN ARTIST

    Dear Neeraj,
    You are very good at revealing the texture of paper and showing its characteristic interactions with a wide charcoal stick. I am fascinated by compositional solutions, the contrast of figurative and abstract, as well as exciting contour lines that do not coincide with the shaded “body”!

    Horses are not like each other: some are dense and calm, others are frisky and playful. Where do you find examples for your images?

    I also sometimes try to work with coal. Tell me, please, how do you prefer to fix the image: with hairspray or a special fixator?

      Dear nazar

      This lockdown has given me enough time to experiment and reflect with the limited resources available .charcoals been my favorite since college days I have this very strong memory etched when I did huge nude life study :::I did close ups of the female torso and displayed them in the corridor rather than on the personal boards allotted.it made an impact it was appreciated by professors as well as seniors.my bond and love for charcoals became more strong after this,I just love the medium ,it has so much to offer ,it’s limitless.
      I fix it with hairspray as it’s not expensive and the purpose is solved.

      Examples of my muse :::my muse is literally with me all the time.way back we had horse carriages as public transportation and I used to sketch them, travel in that now the source is stories,movies,clips and history.
      I don’t like to surf net to find my muse it’s there ::around me 🙂
      History of the world as well as Indian history and in folk tales too horse has been a prominent part .
      I am truly enjoying my time with my muse and feel happy that I am able to share it at SPAR.

        Yes, charcoal and horses are traditionally important for fine art, especially for study. I live nearby the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts, they have a back yard (Academic square) with a nice little stable.
