NONCONFORM — результат сотрудничества Музея нонконформистского искусства, Семинара исследований России и Школы искусств, архитектуры и дизайна Эскенази Индианского университета.

Проект посвящен исследованию и переосмыслению феномена нонконформизма с разных точек зрения и налаживанию диалога между художественными специалистами России и США. Шесть художниц и художников из двух стран были приглашены вместе найти ответ на вопрос: Что такое NONCONFORM? Именно маршруты и методы их поисков, наши дискуссии и множество новых вопросов, родившихся в процессе, стали главным и наиболее ценным результатом проекта.  

NONCONFORM is a result of a collaboration between the Museum of Nonconformist Art, The Russian Studies Seminar and the Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture and Design.

The project is dedicated to researching and rethinking the phenomenon of nonconformism from different perspectives and fostering a dialogue between art experts from Russia and the U.S. Six artists from both countries were invited to explore the meanings behind the term NONCONFORM. The routes and methods of their searches, our discussions and various new questions that arose along the way, became the most valuable outcome of this project.

Cвои двери откроет виртуальный дом культуры на Mozilla Hubs. Проекты художников будут представлены в разных частях здания – зрителям предстоит отыскать искусство в кинотеатре, столовой, классах домоводства и краеведения и других пространствах ДК. На онлайн-открытии выступят художники и куратор выставки Дмитрий Пиликин.

The virtual house of culture created on the Mozilla Hubs platform will open its doors. The artists’ works will be displayed in various parts of the space — the audience members will find the art in the cinema, in the canteen, in home economics or regional studies classrooms, or in other spaces within the house of culture. The online opening will feature presentations from both the artists and the exhibition’s curator, Dmitry Pilikin.
