I am a college-level creative writing instructor living in San Diego, California, but I have spent extensive amounts of time living in Saint Petersburg. My work has been awarded the Editor’s Choice Prize for Best Fiction from The Beacon Street Review, named one of the Top 50 Very Short Stories of 2022, and was a finalist for The Raymond Carver Short Story Contest. I also run a multimedia narrative installation in San Diego called Relics of the Hypnotist War. At SPAR I will be working on my novel The Two-Headed City, set in contemporary Saint Petersburg.
