Our project can be called a documentary study. And two things are important to us: time and light.

Trees in the city are always a pause, an opportunity to take a deep breath and slow down, and it’s also a moment of silence or at least a reduction in noise. A lonely tree is a double pause. Running past, we always slow down a bit. That’s why we use vintage cameras that eliminate haste and “photo on the run.”

Trees depend on light. The fact that they germinate in enclosed courtyards enhances the role of light. Therefore, firstly, we choose the time for shooting so that the light becomes visible, and secondly, we chose the cyanotype technique for printing photos.
