“EcoArt: between human and non-human agencies” is a cooperative project initiated by the Goethe-Institut in St. Petersburg and the French Institute in St. Petersburg, in cooperation with the Museum of Nonconformist Art. It unites contemporary artists and researchers from Russia, Germany and France, who are interested in exploring the connections between humans and nonhuman agents in their environment, ways of (re)connecting with nature, and examining the world beyond the typical anthropocentric perspective. The project will take place from March to November 2025 and includes a virtual residency where participants can exchange ideas and co-create, the production of new artworks, a group exhibition at the Museum of Nonconformist Art, and public events at different locations.
