The work on the project takes place in several stages. The first is the collection of information. Of course, we used online maps with trees marked on them. But all the same, all spring and part of the summer we walked around the city and checked. There were several trees somewhere, but our focus is only on single ones. Somewhere the tree was gone. And somewhere the tree wasn’t marked on the map, but it’s actually there. There were some courtyards that were not accessible.

At the same time, we consulted with experts: Sergey Sedykh and Michael Richter. They suggested something to look out for. In our case, these are: the condition of the soil and roots, if they are visible, the condition of the foliage, the shape of the crown. As a result, we got such a sign.

Then, when we started going around the yards and taking pictures, the table began to fill in: the name of the tree, photos of the soil and foliage, notes and comments. It became clear that we would have to go somewhere else, because we couldn’t get the right lighting.
