‘Sky gazing as a test of courage’. Part 2 , Ira Papadopoulou

Quarantine Days 41, 42, 43… 55, 56, 57

Sky. Breathe deeply.

I need a sign. Just tell me that this is going to end soon.

I might know the answer,

but just give me some courage.

Quarantine Days 61, 62, 63… 75, 76, 77

Sky. Breathe deeply.

One day soon, this is going to be a memory.

So, remember the colors,

remember the feelings,

remember the sky.

“Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one’s courage.”

Anais Nin

Sky. Breath deeply.

    Thank you for your post!
We should enjoy what we have: we have a lot – even heaven – if we want to.
I think it is a curious idea to use hexahedron!

Were the images made from your window?

Hi Nazar! The shots are taken from my balcony. The hexagon concept was developed by a hegagonal kaleidoscope I used to have as a child to see the colors of all things around me…

    Hello Ira,

Some of your skies remind me of William Turners paintings 🙂

I read in your reply to Liza, that you mentioned something about Greece being hit badly culturaly from this coronacrisis. I am aware that Greece was already in a pickle after the eurocrisis, so I can imagin this being a complete disaster for your country.
I have also noticed that when the government is somehow not able to support culture, people tend to become pretty creative. Like for instant, I believe, is how Pushkinskaya 10 started. I was curious if there had been any kind developments like that arising in Greece since then?

Anyway I wish you and your fellow creatives in Greece lots of inspiration and courage during this ordeal. Goodluck

Hi Nanda! Thanks so much for your comment. During the project and the hundreds of shots I’ve taken I’ve seen the sky changing amazing colors and shapes!
In Greece, at the moment, artists and creatives are struggling for the basics… There are some new experimental projects going on but have not taken a more formal shape yet…I do hope that we’ll see some creative developments any time soon. Thanks again for your kind words.
